Insert Molding of ABS Remote Enclosure for the Retail Industry

When a customer in the retail industry required custom insert molding capabilities to produce a component of their cart return system, they relied on the service and expertise of our engineers at Harbor Plastics. This red and yellow 8.05" x 3.00" x 1.72" enclosure contains a #6-32 thread brass insert used for assembly of the remote system. Dimensional tolerances as tight as ±0.010" and ±2° were held as designated on customer supplied prints.

The ability to produce customer parts with insert molding expedites assembly and opens up a wider range of design options. Our experienced personnel have the knowledge to take a customer's design and manufacture precision components that meet all customer specifications. This remote enclosure was produced at a rate of 60 parts per hour, with a total of 500 enclosures manufactured for this project.
