Plastic Injection Molding of Nylon Air Filter Cover for Motorcycle Engines

At Harbor Plastics, we can produce precision insert molded components for any custom application. This air filter cover is made of black glass filled nylon and is used on high end motorcycle engines. Threaded brass inserts are molded into the cover for assembly per customer specifications. Development of this project followed the PPAP part approval process and dimensional tolerances of 1° and ±.001" were held at critical dimensions. We produced a total of 6,000 of these air filter covers at a production rate of 60 parts per hour.
